The meek and mild seamstress who was supposedly too tired to move to the back of the bus in segregated Montgomery, Alabama and thereby sparked a movement. It will have been told again this Black History Month. Now, many people know the story of Rosa Parks. And, today, as we wind up Black History Month and look ahead to women's history month, a story that in many ways was hiding in plain sight.
